What is rappidApp™?

The rappidApp™ platform allows non-developers to create their own custom native mobile app(s) through a web based content management system (CMS) thus providing the ability to customize every facet of their app in real-time.

 

Do I need an iOS Developer Account in order to deploy to the App Store?

We recommend that our customers obtain their own iOS Developer Account, however, it is not required.  If you choose not to obtain your own account, we can deploy your app through the rappidApp account with Apple’s App Store – and rappidApp, LLC will appear as the “Seller” of your app.   If you are interested in having an App in the App Store that appears with your company name as the “Seller” and/or you want to charge for your app we suggest you begin the process of obtaining an Apple Developer Account immediately.  Get Your Apple Developer Account Started Here.

 

How much does rappidApp cost?

Do I have to sign a contract for rappidApp, and if so for how long?

Yes. Every customer is required to accept the rappidApp Terms Of Service.  Accounts can be cancelled at any time.

 

Do I use a Template? How do I design my App?

rappidApp is extremely flexible and does not require any templates. Our multiple views (map, list, page) allow you to choose the best way to present your content. Once you have selected a view you can apply colors, add images, and even enter HTML/CSS. All of this can be done through our WYSIWYG editor within the Live Publisher.

 

What can I change within my app without having to re-submit to the Apple App Store?

You can change everything INSIDE your app – content, tabs, maps, pin points, graphics, icons etc.  The only elements that cannot be changed in real-time are: App Icon that appears on your phone, the App Name that shows up underneath your icon & the Splash Screen that appears as your app loads.

 

Can I have different pin images on the same map (one for dining, one for gardening, one for restrooms)?

Yes, you can assign individual pin images/icons for every plot-point within your app. 

 

Can I get directions from my current location to a point on the map?

Yes, rappidApp builds native apps which means it utilizes the built-in features of your smartphone. You can get directions to a point on the map, dial a phone number directly from the app, or e-mail a plot-point/location to a friend.

 

When will it be available for Android?

A release for Android is currently in production with an anticipated early summer 2012 release.

What is a “lat lon” and where do I get it?

Use one of these handy sites to quickly obtain the Latitude & Longitude of any location in the world: www.getlatlon.com or www.itouchmap.com.

 

How long does it take for Apple to approve my app for initial Launch?

We are unable to predict with certainty the approval process for the App Store. In our experience initial app approval takes 10-15 business days.

 

Will the Apple standard gloss be applied to my App icon?

No. We will submit your icon exactly as you’ve designed & uploaded to the Live Publisher, no gloss applied.
